I am currently using IM+ and it will not log me off after a while, is there another app that does that, say log you off after 20 minutes or so of inactivity? Have tried E-Buddy, Trillian (hate the new interface) before, maybe I'm just missing a setting in one of those apps to accomplish this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I only use the iMessages so I'm unaware of any app that does what you seek.

I think the issue is with background services. An app can request only so much time to remain active if it is not the foreground app (doesn't apply to apps requesting certain background processes like VoIP, GPS, audio).

I know IM+ does the same logout if it hasn't been used in a bit.

Actually I may not have made my point clear on what I'm looking for, I do want the app to log me off after a certain amount of inactive time. I have IM+, haven't used it in 2 days and it still gets the AOL message ("Your logged into the account from 2 different locations....") when I logged into my account from my work computer. I have to manually log off when I'm done using the app.
