Google Maps Explore tabs

Ok...I still have the old search icons in google maps even though I've updated to 2.0. Anyone have a clue why the new Explore tabs don't show?

I don't know. Try closing out the app, even removing it from the recently used list (Double-click home button) and then restart the Google Maps app. It *may* help.

Maybe that's something only Android gets... or, those old search icons ARE the 'new' explore tabs...

Tried restarting...nada.
From what I read, ios has the explore tabs as well. Was looking forward to these.
