Help with app install error

Hi

I installed the new Hangouts app on my 4S without any issue. My iPad is set to automatically download the same app but the app was stuck on installing forever. I then deleted it and now when I try to go back to instal Hangouts, I get the following error (pls see attachment).

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

The two things that jump out is this app for iPhone and iPad and also if yes you might try and restore your iPad to new getting all remnants of the app out and then try and reinstall.

Try just restarting your iPad. I frequently get apps hanging, and a simple restart has them back and working fast.

You could also try turning off the automatic download setting and see what happens.

Thanks guys! I tried all of the suggestions, nothing worked. I tried a restart, disabling automatic downloads and even connecting to iTunes, but no go. This took a turn for the bizarro category when I tried downloading the same app for my wife on her 4S - she has her own Apple ID. Would you believe that her phone gave the same error! Any idea whats going on here? Don't see any mention of it on the app's review...
