Since the new iPhone5 is coming out, will apple allow you to upload an app update without making it run at the full iPhone5 screen size? Will they let you upload an app that runs letterboxed on the new phone?

I'm not an app developer, but I don't see any benefit from Apple blocking apps not specifically made for the iPhone 5. I'm curious if anyone with experience submitting apps has been denied or asked to update compatibility with the iPhone 5.

It would be sad if Apple did deny them.

There have been tons of apps updated that don't have ip5 screen support yet.

Yeah I don't think they would stop supporting the 4S.

Yes they will slow them. People still complaining apps are being updated without i5 support. How many times has the Starbucks app been updated without i5 support?
