Whatsapp kik live profile Facebook messenger I was part of the live profile fad for a while but it died out and my friends stopped using it so I deleted it. I use iMessage since most of my friends and family have iPhones now.

I use kakao. It allows you to call internationally for free.

I use and like kik, used it since my BB days. Most of my friends are on different devices so it works out pretty good.

I think it's heavy on battery life but I think it's the best and most reliable on there is to be honest.

WhatsApp and Kakao talk are the best IMO. I have tried most of them. Always been a big fan of WhatsApp but used KakaoTalk when my daughter went to Ecuador this summer. Worked great.

Viber is also another good one. If your peeps are on twitter you could also just DM them.
