Why is it that in iOS, in the native email app, you cannot attach a file or an image once you have started composing an email?

In Android we could do this, but in iOS, I cannot seem to find a way.

Any tips??

Thanks!

While in the default mail app, press & hold anywhere in the body of the message. A menu will appear. Select the white arrow on the right side of that menu. It will bring up an option to insert an image or a video. It does not do the same for a non-image file, however.
