I'm not as careless as you. It's annoying when it's just sitting there. I don't have a "last page" I keep my iPhone perfectly manicured to only have 2 full pages of apps at a time, laid out on the home screen as I would like, everything has a specific place.

iOS seems to be getting worse, they put the camera on the lock screen permanently. Sigh. It throws off the balance of the lock screen. So I had to downgrade and Jailbreak to restore it to working order. Who would have thought the new iOS would be losing functionality. Stay away from this part of iOS "upgrade" another part of it!
What happened to "dominating the market by 2020" and all that jazz?

I just put it on the very last page of my apps and never look at it.

Compared to the bloatware on my Storm2 from Verizon, one icon I never use is a blessing. I had an entire folder full of Verizon bloatware that I kept hidden on that phone. Stuff I'd never use but couldn't get rid of the icons.
+1. Newstand doesnt bother me at all - i'm so OCD that my apps have to be all even across, no rows can be left with just 3, i have to fill the spot so its complete at 4 across:o SO newstand does come in handy for me in that aspect LOL.

As for my bb, couldnt agree with you more Laura - i had a folder called "crApps" lol. Although using Boss to shrink the OS helped a bit too, although some of the icons still remained, but 'empty' so to speak.

The entire market by 2020. Not necessarilly, It's not Apple's fault that they'll be taking over the market. It's the other companies that are just that bad; they let Apple do it.

I'm just completely annoyed by everything Apple has to offer. Their walled garden is just getting annoying. Apple has the tendency to saddle you up with a whole bunch of **** that you don't even want.

And the funny thing is that they neglect to fix what's wrong with iOS but then change and mess up the only good parts about it.

moto, i'm not trying to sound like a b!tch in any way, but honestly, you've been ranting ALOT about alot of different things with the iPhone. Maybe its time you consider another platform to switch to? You really dont seem very happy with an iPhone.

Why is it that when you have a small thing about iOS that you don't like, people escort you over to other phones. I'm just putting it out there.

I wonder if Passbook will be the same thing.

i believe 5.0.1 patched this from happening again. but if the OP is jailbroken there are several tweaks that will hide it

Because your beef with iOS isn't "small", as evidenced by many of your posts.

It's a phone so I mean; it's not like anybody is really adamant about anything changing. And sadly, I can't take a risk on any other phone. I learned my lesson the first time.

My complaint with a bunch of the stock apps is that they're being split up now and taking up more space than necessary. I wish Apple would go back to the iPod app on iPhone and iPad, and I feel like Newsstand and iBooks could be combined in a useful way. Compass and Maps, iTunes and App Store could as be combined effectively. If we were given the option on whether to sync the stock apps that would be great as well.

And I think they should make it on iTunes where you can wireless sync the iPhone at any time, not just having the box checked. Because a lot of times I actually have to plug it in to sync for it to get recognized.

You CAN do that... >>Settings >>General>> iTunes Wifi Sync>> Sync Now

..."but O M Geee... that's so many things to tap...."

A lot of the time iTunes has problems finding the iOS device to begin with so if it could be improved that would make things more consistent

On the few times that's occurred for me, restarting iTunes on the computer solves it.

I've had trouble with it a few times and I have had to reboot my computer, restart iTunes, reboot my router or a combination of these and I think that a fix could come if the protocol in the iTunes software itself is rewritten or made more efficient

News flash... the last page on your phone is your "last page". Everybody has one.

Now, go get an iPhone, a BlackBerry, a Windows Phone or an Android phone... you're gonna find a couple of apps in the stock OS that you don't use or don't care to even see on your screen. Grown ups learn to deal with it however they need to. Others just whine about it because they have to be whining about something.

I realize that you are simply trolling, but if you are that unhappy about (1) how "cheap" iOS devices are, because even Cricket users can get them, (2) how Apple may or may not own the whole market by 2020, and (3) how iOS sucks with all of it's bloatware that nobody ever uses, perhaps you should return to the simpler days of tin cans and string.

I actually can't decide if I want to be jailbroken or not. I've been messing with my phone all day. Back and forth back and forth.

You get a new maps ..... but it doesn't have transit

You get a new Siri ...... but it comes with an annoying voice

You get Facetime on Cellular ...... but it costs extra

You get full screen ...... but only in landscape

I'm just torn. I might as well just jailbreak and not have to worry about s#it. But then some apps you don't get..

    So...
