Has anyone had a good experience using the skype app?

Is the skype app reliable enough to use for conference calls, has anyone tried it?

It works as well as your data connection allows it. IOW, it performs brilliantly on WiFi, and with your carrier's data - ymmv.

I use it a lot to call the USA from the uk. Call quality better than standard phone lines. Cheaper too with Skype out!

I use it often to call from Sweden to Holland and the US. I use both Wifi and 3G and have had no issues ...

My experience is good with Skype on my iPad 2.

I use it every weekend for my son's drum lessons. It works perfectly. I can take it out to the garage where his drum kit lives for his lesson. Runs flawlessly for an hour, both WiFi and Sprint 3G. Of course, the battery drain is immense! It uses 25% to 30% of the battery in an hour of Skype video.

I might try it out. I have been using Tango I have had good luck with that app.
