I'm very happy to announce the release of Math Battle this coming Monday.

    Math Battle features:
    - a unique arithmetic drill
    - a 3D space combat game in between problem sets

Here's some promo codes for a pre-release version:

I built the app for my second grader who seems to have an ever advancing set of math skills and a need to be rewarded with a real game.

The idea was to go beyond flash cards and make an arithmetic system that allows you to do pretty complex problems. Problems too hard to do in your head. The obvious solution was to allow the player to simple work the problem out directly on the screen. Once they have a solution they enter it on the keypad.

Right answers on the first try give your spaceship power-ups (smart missiles and extra shields) in the game mode. You have to get 10 problems right to proceed to the game.

Problems can range from the 1+1 variety to things as hard as 4185/93. What operations appear and the difficulty of the problems are easily configured in the Settings panel. Thus the game is appropriate for kindergarten through then end of grade school.

I'd love to see any feeback TiPB readers might have.
