Here's the story, I need help with tracing a phone number back to a text messaging app to find an IP address to figure out who is texting me and threatening to do "dirty" stuff to my friends.

Is there any way possible to track this phone number and a way to get their IP to figure out who it is?

Get a court order and head to your wireless provider. That's about the only way to get all the way back to the individual who's doing the deed.
