Forget the iPhone 5, what about an Apple Video game console?

So Ive had this idea for a while now that Apple should enter the gaming console world with the "iPlay". I know that they have the iPad with cool apps that you can use your iPhone or even iPod touch as the controller, but i feel that the console would just take apple to the next level and being a huge competitor to Sony and Microsoft!

If they were going to do this. It would be better for them to just use the Apple TV for this purpose instead of making a dedicated console.
