Can anybody recommend a good weather app that pulls down the current location from GPS?

There are plenty of them... Shine is the newest that I have seen... but if you wait for iOS5 to be released, you'll find that available in the native iPhone weather app.

Sure, there are a lot of weather apps - not many good ones.

    Don't they all do that??

I am a weather app addict. My current favorites are:

Farenheit- cool because it shows current temp in the badge. This is the one on my home screen.
    Weather HD- it's pretty.
Fizz Weather- if I had to pick just one, that would be it. Best for comparing multiple locations. (I ship reptiles and have to know forecasts).
Weather Doodle- I like the cute graphics.

The Weather Channel, WeatherBug, AccuWeather,....you name it it's in the app store. Pick your favorite source; they all use GPS location.

the 2 best weather apps i have found are weather alert usa and myweather. I use both everyday. They both alert me to weather alerts and work by gps.

My experience with WeatherAlertUSA is less than stellar. Last round of severe weather it alerted once out of 5 times it should have.

well have had no problems with that app. Had severe thunderstorms here on east coast and flood advisories and was alerted each time.

Weatherbug, Weathereye or Weather Pro....all are good. They use current location data and display it.

Weather HD if you want a really pretty app to display (also has a free version), or Fahrenheit if you want one that displays the current weather on the icon.
