Download text and emails

Hi,

My uncle just passed away and I got his iPhone. What is the best way to download all his text messages and emails to my PC?

I would like to download that info without having my own MS Outlook or iTunes affected.

I would assume his email is a normal email address so can your access those on the web ? I also know text messages are saved in a back up file in iTunes there might be other apps on Cydia I would try a google search
