Find my iphone app drains battery

Hi forum,

Does anyone know why if I turn on the Find my iphone app my iphone battery drains very quickly? I thought although it is on, it is only activated only if I try to 'find' it on the me.com website, using the push notifications function.

Does thhis mean the app is frequently locating & sending data to apple even though we do not 'find' it via the me.com website?

Upgrade your iphone ios to 4.3.1 if you are using 4.3.0.

yeah odd. thought its the same with everyone.

my battery drains quickly after i installed find my iphone app a few weeks ago. i compared it when i switched it off and battery lasts longer. and im already on 4.3.1.

One thing that drains the battery is location services, may be the app is using too precise location. You should be able to turn it off.
