Nike+ipod app question

Has anyone tried the Nike+ipod app that came with the iphone?
I tried to get it working but it asks for me to walk around to activate the sensor. I walked a couple miles and it has yet to activate.

Not me personally, but my friend has an iPhone with that app and he uses it a lot.
It syncs to his Facebook and Twitter and it's pretty neat to get his updates on runs/marathons/etc.
