am i the only one who rolls naked??

so far every case i have tried feels too bulky or takes away from the "experience". cases in the past did not stay on long due to me simply getting bored of them

anything Otterbox has to offer looks hideous.. i guess if you think you may be accidentally dropping it off a building anytime soon then i can understand

for the 18 months i had my 3G it was only dropped 3 times with no major damage

maybe that day will come when i'll regret not using one but until then it will sure look good!

Seriously though, it's just so the back doesn't get scratched when I lay it down. No bulk whatsoever!

I've got Belkin free case from Apple that's clear, which shows of my aluminum back I got from Hong Kong or wherever it was, but I'm debating on getting a similar back glass that actually has the flash diffuser in it lol

Next best thing to naked. I have screen protectors on top and bottom, and an iColor Wrap around the antenna.

Hells no I have been #teamnaked since I got my iPhone. Well almost I had an invisible shield on for a while but it started to peel on me so I just took the whole thing off.

I go naked at home because I'd rather have it that way. I only have a case when I leave the house because I'm clumsey!

I like Incase Snap. Adds no bulk. i wont use any phone nude. Dont want to chance dropping it

Totally nude and loving it! Wouldn't want to spoil that gorgeous look/feel with a bulky or ugly case...

I rock the full body armor of a Otterbox Defender when I am outdoors, in the shop, on the boat, and traveling cause I have ruined too many phones in those environments. Then I strip it all off when I get my good jeans on and enjoy the feel of the iPhone with nothing on it. When I do, I am always surprised how slippery it is as well as how elegant.

Totally nude here. Wait, this about cases right? Yeah, nude in that too.

OP I'm like the total opposite I have never used an iPhone without a case. I currently use the Defender. I get jealous when I see people with their i4 looking all snazzy but I'm too much of a butterfingers for that 

All naked, all the time. I have faith in the strength of the glass and it has held up amazingly. Many drops and not a single scratch.

Case mate barely there to stop the back getting scratched when putting it down. It kind of makes the phone grippier (is that a word??) and less likely to slip in my hand.

Otterbox defender when I'm at work. But the moment I get in my car to leave I strip it and put the bumper on to give it a bit of grip. This phone can be tricky to hold on to sometimes.

I have a case complex with my iPhone. I love the iPhone naked, it's beautiful! But I get paranoid and don't want to scratch it up. I have a good collection of cases (about 6 or 7) and that's because I've only had my iPhone 4 for a few weeks. I recently converted to using an Otterbox Defender - I used to be SO against them for the same reasons: they're ugly, bulky and completely loses the gorgeousness of the iPhone.

But the iPhone 4 version of this case converted my views on the matter. True, it's still somewhat bulky, but I definitely breathe a little easier knowing how protected my iPhone is.

For me, I'm ALWAYS thinking about resale value. When the next iPhone comes out, I'll have a mint condition iPhone 4 with lots of accessories to sale - which will sale a lot better than one with "normal wear and tear" that you'll see listed quite often ;)

I roll naked too. I feel like if Apple wanted the phone to be big and bulky, which is the way it feels to me with a case, then they would have made it that way from the start.

I roll with naked screen a clear protector on the back and a black bumper .

I have been rolling with just a bumper, I have both black and white ... Black bumper has a much better grip to it.

Hmmm. Rely heavily upon velcro. My 3GS was naked except for a little piece of Velcro. Velcro will not stick to iPhone 4. Therefore, I have a Luv case to hold the Velcro on. Velcro sticks to my iPad with no assist.

Me too - clear Case-Mate on the iPhone 4 looks nekkid.

I have the apple bumper that I got for free from apple so in a sense I roll naked too.

Yuck. I can't imagine having my phone NOT in a case. The scratches, the chips, ugh. I'd be a nervous wreck. Love my OtterBox Defender. It's been around the phone since day one.

Nude for most part.. every now in then I throw on my white bumper or my gun metal Incase Slider..

Just not that fragile. Still, after literally destroying one at 12, my 14 year old nephew would not take his second one out of the box until we had driven all the way across Long Island to get a case.

I don't care about resale value at all. I just give my phone away when I buy the latest greatest model. But, back on topic, I have a vaja case on my iP4. These cases are as beautiful as the iPhone IMO. This phone is just too slippery without a case

I never cease to be amazed at the number of choices of cases that are offered or the price that they command. Lots of people are profiting from the success of the iPhone.

Cases are kind of stupid for phones. JMO though. Especially funny are those who wrap em in plastic then throw a case on. You then have a redesigned plastic looking phone that can't fit accessories. Not to mention the decrease in performance having a capacitive screen.

I'm rollin naked too finally after my upgrade Oct, '10/ip4. About a week ago I just applied a Wrapsol full body armor and 'LOVE'n IT'. I'm like 1-2 others that have stated, "barely ever drop my iphone." Guess, I'm pretty particular about my things. LOL

you really have to appreciate it when the younger generation learns the value of keeping something nice, glad to hear it

my son, who is 11, is very neurotic about his iPT4, or any piece of electronics he owns or has owned

i'm afraid he might be turning into a little hacker already. every iPT he has owned so far has to be jailbroken so he can put his favorite tweaks/themes on it. he says they're boring otherwise. he knows his way around Cydia and Winterboard very well. he also understands the meaning of a "tethered jailbreak", something a lot of grown adults do not :D

that's like my buddy showed me photo of his niece on the stairs where she lives on her i4 and her MacBook Pro... ummm she's 9 ! LOL wow.. wish i could be 9 again lol

Naked is the way to go.

I would like to "roll naked," but I'm too paranoid about drops, spills, etc. I've been using the OB Defender case, and it is much bulkier than I would like, but I also rest a little easier knowing that my phone is about as protected as it can get. I also have one of the iSkin cases, but the power button using that case seems very difficult to actually press. Maybe I'll get some bumper-like case someday for when I'm at home, etc., but for now the Defender works without too much hassle.

I think Otterbox Commuter looks great. Even my girlfriend confirmed this, and got one for her own iPhone.

Rolling naked IMHO is out of the question. It feels so cheap to see an iPhone filled with scratches and cuffs after a couple of months.

Well when I wa rolling naked I still had an invisible shield all the way around to recent scratches so that's avoidable.

I use a cheap cover just to make it a little thicker and easier to grip. It is one of those rubberized hard covers. Easier for me to handle. Maybe because I came from a BB Storm last year and I was used to the thicker phone. When I use my wifes iphone without a cover, it seems too thin for me.

Now that I've done the white conversion. It is always naked...... except when I'm at work. My job is a little dangerous for that.

I have the decal girls decal on mine with the decal going around the trim to keep antenae not an issue. I like the decal I chose so it looks cool. I also like the fact that it still feels just like the naked phone and I can change it if I want. I did drop my phone in a parking lot, but the sticker/decal took the scratch and not my phone!

Got a $5 TPU case off EBay. Use the case and a front protector. As soon as I get in the house, I take the case off. I wash it every few days as well.

Here's the one I use. It's a compromise between an ugly otterbox and a hard plastic case. I love it.

I rolled naked outside once and my car keys scratched the back of the iPhone 4. The glass is very prone to scratches, regardless of what Apple says.

I dont like cases since I found out about Gelaskins.com The art is amazing and you still keep the nice look of the iphone and fits snug and even can buy screen protectors as well from them. They even send you a wallpaper you your iphone and it looks like one big skin.

I don't use a case. I do use my mophie when my battery is low. When it is charged, I remove it.

My 3G and 3GS both had cases for about a week when brand new before I couldn't stand them anymore and they were naked the majority of their lives. My 4 has a griffin hard bumper now that I actually enjoy... It may just stay on haha

Im naked in the house but outside im fully protected with a outterbox.

lol. title really made me laugh. i feel the same way. no case for me either. buddy gave me some commander case or some name like that. case is just crazy, could be used in military service! hehee
i just drop it into my holster i used for my bb. i really should get an apple one because the comments i get are pretty funny when people realize its an iPhone in a BB case.

Ever since I got a smartphone I've never rolled naked. Before my iPhone I had a BlackBerry Curve 8900, and that had an iSkin gel case. I currently have a speck case on my iPhone but I'm not too fond of it...it seems to add to much weight and bulk to the phone. I might go back to a simple silicone cover.

OtterBox Defender while at work. Naked everywhere else.

I am particularly fond of the Defender Otterbox cases. I think they bridge the gap between slimline and protection very well.

Of course, that's one of the things I"m so enamored with the IPHONE over.

No other device is as well supported. There are tons of cases for the IPHONE and most of them look damn good to boot!

My Samsung Epic has like 3 cases and only one of those is serviceable, but even it doesn't look that great.

While I like how a "naked" phone feels in my hand, I could just never go out and feel comfortable using a device without a case, never with a BlackBerry, even more so with an iPhone, much less an i4. I've never really minded the bulk of cases seeing what they offer in exchange for that little bit of extra material.

Totally nude except for a clear strip covering the antenna to kill the death grip.

Didnt get my Iphone yet but I always run naked on my BB. I always keep my phone in my front pocket and anything but naked feels weird and seems bulky. My wife is never Naked (:mad:) but always tosses her phone in a handbag, so she needs the protection.

So is there any coralation to how you roll and where you carry your phone?

Bought the TiPb Smartphone Experts $.99 case. Great fit, nice feel and it fits into my hip holster with the silicone case on. Can't ge beat.

The only time i go naked is when i'm connected to my laptop via sync dock. other than that it has a cheap rubber case on it that i bought off fleabay.

When I'm out ANYWHERE I have my Otterbox on, I hate the bulkiness but I love the protection. I just got my default case for 1 cent! I wear that at home for some protection but not overkill :3

Me too! I recently bought a Otterbox Defender and it has the best protection. Thats the only way I go now

inCase slider, I just can't keep the phone naked, ESPECIALLY not the 4.

I use an Incipio Feather case. Protects the back, and it is the only case I could find that would still work with a holster.

I think if I was rich, or could easily get another iPhone 4, I'd roll with no case, and possibly only the Invisible Shield...

But, I'm too scared. I know me, someone would help me drop it, i.e. bounce into me while I'm walking or something. And then, B A N G...

I used my iPhone 4 nude for the first couple of weeks due to the fact that there were almost no cases available at that time. It drove me crazy though! I was always worried about getting scratches and breaking the glass! Now I use a combination of an Apple Bumper with Power Support Screen Shield for the front and back, along with an Incase Snap Case. I also have been trying out a Mophie Juicepack as well. Guess one can't have too many options?

I recently took a big leap and switched my from my worn and bulky OtterBox Defender to a sleeker and nicer looking OtterBox Commuter, with a Zagg InvisibleShield on the screen. Lovin' the sleeker look but a bit more paranoid now than I used to be.

I was a BlackBerry user/abuser for years and just got my first iPhone at the urging of my wife and 11 year old daughter. I love my iPhone 4 and will never go back to BlackBerry. As soon as I got my new iPhone, I put on a Otterbox Commuter case. I love it for the protection. I also love my new phone naked so I leave it naked when I am at home.

I'm in the middle, sometimes I roll with a case, and the other times I don't.

I switched from an OtterBox Defender to a Commuter and have been pleased. Less bulk and the phone actually fits in my pocket now. But I am more paranoid than when I had the Defender on there.

The Otterbox Commuter case is a perfect case IMO. It will give your iPhone sufficient protection and less bulk. I had the Commuter case on my BB before switching to the iPhone 2 weeks ago. I am very OCD about my iPhone. I feel very comfortable knowing that it is protected with the Otterbox Commuter case.

As much as I want to carry my phone without a case I'm too nervous to do so. I have a barley there case to it's close enough to being naked.

personally, I like the sleek design of the iphone. putting a case on it just kills the vibe.

The last few days I have been goin naked and am liking it! I don't think this will be an ongoing thing but I have enjoyed it thus far.

Totally naked! I can't stand cases, it makes everything look soo bulky besides, I compared my back cover to a friends (and he has a case on) and his was waayy more stretched lol

I have a incase slide case and don't keep it on. It was a waste of money. I kept it on for 5 minutes. I roll totally naked with no case no screen protector and loving it. 

I don't roll naked mainly to keep the camera port sunk in just a bit to keep it super clean. I take a lot of pictures. I use an Incipio Feather case which is ultra light and thin. I took a palm sander to round over the edges too so it's about as nothing as it gets!

Also, removed screen protector about 4 months ago. Best thing I've ever done to a phone. With a case that doesn't come up over the edge of the screen, the phone literally self cleans the screen every time it's slipped in my pocket.;)

Put my OtterBox Defender back on today after realizing that the Commuter was SCRATCHING my phone. :-( The back has several fine scuff on it. Apparently, dirt got between the rubber and the phone. The Defender never did scratch the phone. Plus, it went flying across the snowy parking lot anyway.

Ahhh Otterbox? Man those things are bulky

Would love to roll naked but as mentioned by others it's too scary. Currently have a very slimline case which covers back and sides, only adds 2mm or so which keeps it feeling nice in the hand. Wasn't using a screen protector to start and was so careful but managed to get a hairline scratch above screen - gutted - can only see it when angled but I know it's there!

Otterbox all the way..... Using a Commuter Case on my new iPhone 4 and love it. I had one on my BB Bold 9700 for a year and worked great. No scratches. Just make sure the rubber part is clean before putting it on.

I had posted a while back in here that I used the otterbox defender on my iPhone 4 .. a few weeks ago I took it off, and have been rolling with a body guard from slickwraps, and I've loved it. Tonight while at dinner a friend of mine dropped his naked iPhone 4 from the table on to the floor at the restaurant and the back shattered instantly. As soon as I got home I put mine back in the otterbox, lol. It scared me how fast that happened.

I used a defender religiously for a while. Went naked for a bit but I seemed to slippery. Now I have Wrapsol ultra front and back with a griffin reveal frame (cool bumper). So far I'm loving this combo.

I use a white apple bumper, and love it. I wouldn't use anything except it's too slippery with nothing.

I agree the darn thing is too slick with no case. Too risky.

When I'm at home, sometimes i'll take the case off. Such a good looking phone to be hiding in a case. But that doesnt last long till I put it back in one of the many cases i have. Currently using a blue case-mate barely there case.
