iPad Photo Organisation

Here's a question. I love my iPad & am looking forward to getting the camera connection kit. One thing I can't seem to do, either with the built in pictures app or 3rd party, is to organise photos into folders. I have a bunch of 900+ negatives which I had scanned and now need some organisation. I was hoping to sit down on the couch and just drag the photos into their event related folders. Once I get the camera conneciton kit, I can imagine needing to do the same with a few days worth of photos on holiday.

Any ideas on a solution for this?
