Okay, so I just bought Camera Plus Pro and ProCamera.

So far, they seem pretty darned capable, much better than Snapture and Camera Genius, which I own too. Hopefully after some use, I can put some reviews on here.

OK I am trying ProCamera too. I have been waiting for a good camera app that can take video too. I have having to use Genius then have to switch to the built in camera for video. Lets hope it meets my expectations.

I have Snapture but want to try one of these. Which would you choose if you only get one? I mainly need the camera flexibility but don't mind the video flexibility for the extra $1.

    Probably ProCamera if you're on a 3GS.

Yeah so far ProCamera is great. I like the video option, I just wish they had a button to activate it instead of the shake, but beggars cant be choosers

ProCamera is also compatible with 2G/3G & 3GS. We are happy that you like the App! Happy Snapping!

OK so the verdict is in. ProCamera FTW!!! It is awesome. I would only ask for one thing in a future release. A button to activate Video instead of having to shake the phone. Other than that, love it!

I don't see the point in these apps what can they do that are different to the standard Camera App?

I have been using Genius for some time, and to be honest...it's less than stellar. After seeing this thread, I am going to give ProCamera a shot. Thanks.

    I own:
    Camera Genius
    Camera Pro Plus
    Pro Camera
and several other camera apps, for my money, snapture is still the best.

I've been using Darkroom Premium, and really like it. It has an anti-shake feature, tap to take a picture and it waits until your phone is steady, resulting in much sharper pictures. It also makes the whole screen the shutter release, has a self-timer and grid on the screen (helpful for lining up the horizon straight and composing shots). I'll have to check out ProCamera. I take a lot of pictures with my phone (see my blog, listed below).

    Hi There,
I wanted to add to your thread, and say that we here at ProCamera are working on several new updates but wanted to add:

In regard to 2G/3G video, Yes, as soon as it can be developed in ProCamera quality then you will have this fully functioning feature.

Video Button (will be the alternative to the shake gesture) so our next update will have this feature.

Stay tuned for a lot more exciting new features!

I have been using ProCamera for a few weeks and I have to say I do miss some things from Snapture. Mainly I would like a preview option for photos I have taken and a burst option. Adding these 2 things will help greatly.
