Anyone here using either of these two utilities?

I have used insomnia but noticed that it was draining the battery even when disabled via sbsettings. I was hoping that KeepAwake would be better, but I don't want to go through the trouble of experimenting.

So, has anyone had experiences they can share with keepawake? When disabled does your battery drain go back to normal?

What makes you think Insomnia is draining battery even when disabled? I use Insomnia and your statement makes me very curious.

I use Insomnia but I haven't noticed any problems with the battery while disabled. What exactly seems to be your problem?

Insomnia works fine here as expected, no increased battery drain when toggled off.

I just noticed that I couldn't eek out more than 5 or 6 hours of use. Also the battery meter dropped very quickly. Now that I restored I am getting 10 + hours. I liked the usefullness of the app but I can't sacrifice that amount of battery. I was hoping keepawake worked a bit better.

Have you tested out KeepAwake? I've used both and haven't noticed too much of a difference in terms of battery life.
