Does anyone know what app to use to disable text message on the lock screen? I'm running 3.0 jailbroken.

Is it not possible to disable the pop up notification system for SMS on a non jailbroken phone?

Hmm, isn't it the "show preview" option in Messages under Settings that you can disable?

Put a pass-code on your iPhone and it will ask you.

Yeah, sometimes it's convenient to have it pop up but the 1% of the time I get a text and someone else is using my phone I wish it wasn't there.

show preview just removes the preview of the body of the text. It still pops up who is the sender of the text message. I have iBlacklist. But upgrading to 3.0 and backgrounder not working correctly with it makes it a problem as it doesn't run in the background. right?

after the 3.0 i cant get my phone to do the following:

show the sms preview when the phone is not locked but not show the preview when locked...

the sms preview option was taken out of the General->Passcode Settings (as far as i can tell) and all i can seem to do is turn the preview off ALL the time or on ALL the time...which i HATE and does not make sense from a securities point of view...am i just over-looking a simple option in settings or is there no way to do this?

Not sure if you realize that this thread is over three years old; iOS has changed since the 3.0 days that the OP refers to. What is it you're trying to do? And what version of iOS are you running?
