GPS App

hi guys,

I have just got an iPhone and was wondering if there is an app like AmazeGPS. I had this on my BlackBerry and it works so much better than car gps systems.

Do you mean for turn by turn directions?

The only thing that exists for that right now is the Jailbroken app. called XGps.

But we should see something soon after the release of 3.0 software.

If you hit "start" after typing in two locations, it's turn by turn navigation. The only thing is that it's not VOICE turn by turn navigation so you'll have to have a friend tell you what to do.

The screen also don't advance by themselves. You have to advance them yourself.

There's that too. Basically it's epic fail. The only problem though is that I find the native GPS app to load maps faster than xGPS, which is very annoying. Usually when I'm on a road trip there is only EDGE and xGPS takes FOREVER to load.
