MobileChat gets the crapplist for me!

This app is pointless. You can't set up SMS notifications because the keypad doesn't show up for you to type in your phone number. I was excited when this came out since beejive wasn't available yet. Well, I abandoned it quickly due to sign in issues and their server being craptastic.

I just recently bought beejive a few days ago (was just using the free AIM app), but decided I wanted all my messengers on my phone. Well I readded mobilechat to my phone to see if it improved at all int he past 5 months, and nope, it still sucks. I can't believe apple is still letting them charge and host an app that is complete crap. Given it was only 2.99, the point is they're making profit off a product that doesn't do what it's intended to do, and then they make excuses as to why they won't pull it. Promising fixes that never come.

I'm a little bitter I paid 15.99 for beejiveIM, but it's by far the best app out there messenger wise and well worth every penny if you are a heavy IMer. And when push notifications are released, it'll just be that much better.

Agreed. I was one that bought it. I'd rather pay for a fart app; at least I know what I'm getting. I had hopes for them as MC was a messaging app in Installer (jailbreak) and someone I know told me they knew the dev and it was a good app.

I heard that too. I paid as well, and was quite disappointed. a lot of people argued and got refunds, for me, the 2.99 wasn't worth the 10 minute hold on the phone w/ the apple store, lol

i remember it being decent on installer, but back then, not even a fraction of iPhone users jailbroke their phones, so they probably didn't have a load, but a good dev and network specialist should know putting an app in the app store is going to create LOADS of traffic on your servers, and the fact that they weren't prepared for that, and just keep making excuses is pretty elementary.

Pocket god is terrible. I downloaded it because it looked shiny, wasn't expensive and it had amazingly good reviews.

Turns out it's very very dull.

haha really? wow! it was only .99 and i found it mildly entertaining. that and they keep adding new ways to torture those creepy little island people.

i dunno, for .99 i find it worth it. it always makes people laugh.

My wife downloaded the app "Virtual Zippo" onto her iPhone. This app has no redeeming value. However, it was a free app.

Virtual Zippo could be considered an iPhone CrApp.

It does exactly what it is described as. It doesn't serve any real purpose, but its a very good app for showing off your iPhone with. When you flick your wrist and the top of that lighter pops open kids lose their mind, I do not know why.

I don't get people complaining about valueless apps when in their description (and screen shots) it's pretty clear what the app does.

What did you (or your wife) expect from the Virtual Zippo app? To be able to light a real cigar with it? Come on ...

I thought the cell phone minute tracker would help me keep track of each call. Nope. it's about the same as the text msg ATT sends.

Every app I've ever downloaded has been "very good" to "great."

All eleven of them.

haha man, I think I downloaded 11 apps the day I got the phone.

I get bored and go on app frenzies. Of course, most of them are free. I only have between 12 - 15 paid apps:

Tweetie
BeejiveIM
DoodleJump (addicting as hell)
SupermonkeyBall
Crash
Enigmo
Colorsplash (really cool for editing photos)
PocketGod
CroMag

and some other random games.

I don't think I've ever really downloaded a paid app I didn't like with the exception of MobileChat, which was utter garbage.
