Some of the cool things with the iPhone version vs the standard one:
    - Angle view by position of the iPhone using accelerometer. Put it flat on a desk for a standard view or pick it up to see the more 3d view.
    - Tap into the GPS and pinpoint your location
    - Multitouch screen... Especially the 2 finger rotate!

ah yes and only after 2 months - when I paid $9.99 for Earthscape **sigh**
Should've figured Google would do it for free.
    downloading it now.

So for the first 20 minutes of playing around with the Google Earth app, it is pretty cool. Especially the AutoTilt feature, however, I turned it off as it got annoying, but it is a cool idea. Google earth is like Earthscape, except Earthscape offers more of a picture community. I am sure though it is only a matter of time before Google does the same.
The maps include geotagged Wikipedia articles and Panoramio posted photos.
Google Earth also has a search bar, which also searches you contacts for related info.

I noticed, for my area, Google Earth has better imaging than Earthscape.
The controls for the app are very well done.
I'd like to see live posting of pictures and the support of *.kml files accessed through your Google account.

    It's FREE, get it!
