I cannot find my original post to this thread. However, I know that my choices are very different now than they were then. These, in no particular order, force a lot of other useful apps, some urgent when I need them, from the list.

Pulse
Logmein
Evernote
Readers (Kindle, iBook, Nook, Stanza, eReader, GoodReader) If I had to choose among these, I would choose Kindle. You cannot make me choose.

Found a great calendar app replacement...

So far it's only for the iPhone, but it syncs Google Calendar, Google Tasks, and the iOS iCal app flawlessly. Looks great and also gives you the ability to customize the gui aspects of the calendar elements.
