The thing has respringed about 8 times in the past couple of minutes. I’m not sure what’s going on but it won’t even stay in long enough for me to do anything. Is anyone else having issues?

It just did another respring, went to static, then the Apple logo turned a few colors.

Turn it off for an hour and turn it back on. Who knows. That may help.

It wouldn’t even let me turn it on or off. I put it in DFU mode & called Apple support. The rep said it’s a defect & they’ll swap it out for me.

Me too!!! One of the reasons I stick with an iPhone. Nothing like this has ever happened, but I can’t imagine what I would have to go through if I was dealing with another company.

Wasn’t there a recall/problem with early 8/8+ screens that Apple swapped some phones for?
I don’t remember but there may have been. This, however, is more than a screen problem. While the rep was doing some digging we both noticed my location stopped working at 6:16pm EDT yesterday. Not sure why but it did. It also won’t even restore through iTunes.
The static initially looked like a ribbon failure (old laptop hinge ribbons failed like that) but with a ribbon failure it should at least still boot up and load the OS just wouldn’t necessarily be responsive to touch or anything.
