Parallax effect on iPhone 8

Hi everyone,

I got my new iPhone 8 yesterday, and loving everyrhing about it except one annoying detail.
I really like the “3D” parallax effect of icons, so I don’t turn on the “reduce motion” option. However, after a while of using the phone, the effect seems to stop and only comes back if I restart the phone. I have the latest iOS. Is this normal, or should I go to Apple store for a reclamation.

Try to perform a hard reset.

You might try Reset All Settings.

Go to Settings >General >Reset >Reset All Settings. This resets to default everything in Settings, including notifications, alerts, brightness, and clock settings like wake up alarms.
