I briefly played with a X yesterday at Rogers, right before the alarm went off because I tried to pick it up and they had it on a much shorter leash than the 8 right beside it . So while the girl was getting the key to deactivate the alarm, I played with the gestures and I am not a fan. It’s reasons like this that I picked the Blackberry 9900 over the Q10 (2 years ago this month). I like the Home Button but I think the 8 might be the last home buttoned iPhone. Perhaps the new SE2 will have a home button but I think it is safe to assume Apple will be pushing their Face ID on other devices soon.

    I think so too.
It seems like the current design of the X will be the future design for the upcoming iPhones.

I guess we will have to learn to like gesture navigation no matter what.

I’m sure it will come rather easily and may even be more efficient.

Right now I read that it’s a little slower than the home button for example closing open apps etc. but that could be just a learning curve people are experiencing but yeah everything gets faster with time

    Exactly.
I was a Blackberry 10 user and once you get used to gestures they’re just as quick. Just have to train your brain.

Mashable, but they said that Apple has thousands of patents so chances are slim it might see the light of day.

iphone 7 is better than 8, because its features are almost same as iphone8. The battery backup is good and camera clarity is also good. So you can go with iphone 7.

Very true. The home button is very easy to use but after the initial learning curve with BB10 gestures become so intuitive. When I got my iPhone I kept trying to use gestures for the first week or so lol. They become second nature the more you use them. I'm glad to see that aspect of BB10 live on in other phones.

No. It definitely looks worse than the majority of Android phones out. My X is far more pretty to look at that my S8. But that concept image would set Apple back in the looks department lol.

You learn the gestures quickly and they're no slower than using the home button

Maybe next year I can upgrade to an 8 and be a home button “holdout” for as long as possible.

Is there any update on whether they will be offering a home buttoned iPhone next year?

Played with a X at Rogers briefly, can’t say that I like gestures much, would have to try it more.

I've been using gestures for at least 4 years. Android and Nova launcher. I just wished that the gestures on my X were customizable as on Nova.
