My guess is that a 128gb will be priced at $949, which is $200 above the current price of a 7. I think the most I'd pay for a 128gb is $999.

Like I said in another thread, the Samsung Galaxy S8s have the same hardware features as the iPhone 8 and they both can be purchased for under $850. Apple will have to convince me why I should pay more than that for their device.

This actually might be one that is a good idea to wait for gen 2 so they can work out any bugs/kinks with the oled panels or whatever else they include

OLED screens have been used in many Android screens for a few years now. There should be no kinks to work out at this point.

Having a s8+ as well, OLED is stunning. I would alone buy the new iPhone for that.

I stand by my statement I made last year when the 7 came out that once apple comes out with an OLED screen I'll never go back to android. I'd finance the 8 on their upgrade program. Sell my 7 plus and put whatever I get on that towards the balance on the 8. Then my monthly will be minimal!

Count me in.
Samsung's displays are absolutely gorgeous.
Would love to have an OLED on an iPhone which will also lead to better battery life

It's funny when they talk about what folks will pay for the new iPhone. Most loyal Apple users don't care about the cost and will find a way to buy the new one when it's introduced.

If Apple is smart they will keep the pricing close, if the not same as the current models. When you are selling 40 million plus units a quarter, you can make it up on volume sales. Just my two cents.

Being that I am buying two phones, I refuse to pay anywhere near $1000. I am hoping to be able to pick up an iPhone 8 and Pixel 2 somewhere between $1500-$1600.

For me to pay more than the going price, there has to be a significant increase in feature and design. If it does not justify the price tag then there is no point.

I agree with several posters that it would take a lot at the keynote for me to spend north of $1000, but I think if it has say 256gb of storage base, the new screen tech and maybe some new tricks the 7 Plus does not have I would pay up to $1200. If it just has the screen and starts at $1200 for 128gb or something, count me out. My 7 Plus is nice enough for another year of use. Now if they announce some game changing feature exclusive to the 8 or Pro then it might sway me. It has to have value to me, not just be the "top of the line".

That's we're all hoping for.
Only time will tell, hopefully it's a game changer for most of us.
