Seems the screen, and maybe a little faster will be the only real benefits over your 7 plus.
OLED alone is a big jump for me. That said, I’m sure we’ll be looking at more than a screen and processor bump.

Having a s8+ as well, OLED is stunning. I would alone buy the new iPhone for that.
This actually might be one that is a good idea to wait for gen 2 so they can work out any bugs/kinks with the oled panels or whatever else they include

I stand by my statement I made last year when the 7 came out that once apple comes out with an OLED screen I'll never go back to android. I'd finance the 8 on their upgrade program. Sell my 7 plus and put whatever I get on that towards the balance on the 8. Then my monthly will be minimal!
Depends on how well Apple can excite me at the keynote. I’ll pay a premium price if I see value. Until then, I can’t say.
I agree with several posters that it would take a lot at the keynote for me to spend north of $1000, but I think if it has say 256gb of storage base, the new screen tech and maybe some new tricks the 7 Plus does not have I would pay up to $1200. If it just has the screen and starts at $1200 for 128gb or something, count me out. My 7 Plus is nice enough for another year of use. Now if they announce some game changing feature exclusive to the 8 or Pro then it might sway me. It has to have value to me, not just be the "top of the line".
^THIS....it all depends. There's no limit, if it's something I like & deem useful.
Can someone direct me to the Apple spox who said $1,200 would be the low price point for the "iPhone 8"?
