iPhone upgrade program and iPhone 8

I tried it.. It tells me i can upgrade but reminded me i still have a balance with Verizon.

Does it let you proceed though??

So if anyone gets a delay Apple says to call them and mention the IUP. They will connect you with someone who will help you get a phone on launch day maybe. If anybody tries this I would love to know what happens.

I got a message in the upgrade process that I had a balance with Verizon for the number that I used. I was still able to complete the reservation. I plan to change it when I get to Apple on Friday. I don't want to upgrade the line that's there as that line does indeed have a payment balance. It's not an iPhone though it's an S8+.

Im going to tell Apple I want a new phone number on a new line. There should be an option to get a new line added during upgrade but there isn't. Seems the apple process won't let you change the phone number used for the upgrade to anything else except the phone number attached to the iPhone being upgraded.

That is what I figured! What does apple care that you have another payment plan with a carrier...They are two separate companies

Yes I got the 8+
Yea the loan is through citizens bank so it has no affect on Verizon account I assume.
