    Welcome to iMore.

Not impressed with the idea. If I want a curved edge screen I can buy a Galaxy.

I agree with @firedept10. The curved edge is gimmicky and awkward IMO. No, thank you!

I personally think that the curved display on the iPhone 8 will be dope! I have always loved bezel-less displays and when Apple implements it along with the OLED panel, it would be something epic!

I'd be ok with it, BUT I'm more looking forward to less, or no bezel as KK8 suggests!

it really depends on what features are available on those curve edges? on the Samsung phones, I wasn't sold on the available features

No way. That would be awful. What the advantages are?

Sure it would look great, but I think it would absolutely suck. Beyond having little to no point it's also pretty gimmicky (agreeing with @Rob Phillips there!)
All aboard for bezel-free displays instead!

That be a huge change in the apple design, they don't have it on any other device.
I hope they don't do it, because I'm considering to buy one, and I am not impressed with the idea.

Its rumored it will be iPhone 8 vs Samsung Galaxy S8, so the choice will be dependable on the details and the comparisons I believe.

I'd be interested in knowing the benefits as well. It doesn't seem all that revolutionary or more phones would be, but I'm up for more info.

    Nope ... I wasn't impressed when I had a Galaxy S7 Edge, and I wouldn't be impressed with it on a iPhone ...

I myself really dont mind the current design of the iPhone. Im far more concerned with functionality that revising the aesthetic design every year. To me the phone is a tool, so the functionality and utility is far more important than just aesthetics. Having said that, I abhor the idea of a curved display or edges like is suggested. To me that seems likely to make it more fragile.

Instead of curved edge, Apple should just create something thats more unique so people would buy their products, as for me.

I do not think, if apple wants to make the iphone 8 really different, I do not think I will use a design that is already on the market, I do not think it will change much in general the iphone will remain recognizable as an iphone, as well In design is the Imac

I'm surprised by the closed minds here. You automatically say no but you have no idea what if anything the curved edge could support. It would be one thing if someone said a curved edge that did XYZ and XYZ provided no benefit over the current bezel design.

I definitely don't want a regular, current Version of iOS on a curved screen – but maybe Apple can think of something that makes the curve actually useful or enhances the experience. Then I'd be interested!

No. The reason we love iphones is that they do things differently from the main stream. If I wanted a curved display I will buy a galaxy s7 edge.

I want my case (Speck candy shell grip) to wrap around the edges and give me some screen protection. Maybe nobody at Apple drops their phone.

Remove the bezel and I'll be happy. My best friend has an S7 Edge and I still can't work out the point of it is besides a few notifications. Leave the gimmicks to the droids I say.

I agree with a lot of you guys, curved edge screens feel a little gimmicky and I've watched review videos after months of owning a phone like the S7 Edge and most say that they don't really use the edge features anymore. But I have to say that Apple may surprise us and find a way to do it differently and make it more useful and less gimmicky.
