Why is the display on my iPhone 8 Plus whiter than on my 7 Plus?

I have bought a new iPhone 8 Plus and a new iPhone 7 Plus for my dad. However, the 7 Plus looks more paperwhite, vs the 8 Plus is a little yellow/reddish in tone.

8 Plus is on iOS13

7 Plus is on iOS 12.4

Any help?

I can't speak regarding the iPhone 7 Plus, but I can tell you that I have adored my 8 Plus... so much so that I'm hanging in there for another year.

Do you have the "True Tone" activated on the 8 plus? That setting can be found in Settings, "Display & Brightness"

Excellent question. That might be the solution!

It’s turned off. That’s the first thing I checked. Do I have to tamper with the Color profile? I don’t want a temporary “fix”. I want a solution.

Simply turn it on ( from 'Display & Brightness) and yes, I'd say it's more of an 'off white' than 'paper white'....but if you don't like it you can simply turn it back off..

Anyone be kind enough to check it against the iPhone 7 Plus display and let me know if they match. For me they don't. I checked it with i8 and they match.

Even between the same iPhones there will always be differences in the color tones. I wouldn’t worry much about it.
