My FedEx tracking finally updated, shows that it finally, at 7:39am, made it onto the vehicle for delivery.

So, my iPhone 8 Plus, Space Grey was delivered about an hour ago.
Albeit, I'm yet to open the box. I'm really close to just returning it. After watching so many videos, it really is just an iPhone 7 Plus, with a glass back...

If you don't care about..

1. The faster processor
2. The faster graphics
3. The updated screen graphics
4. The glass back / wireless charging
5. The updated camera
6. The capacity (depending what you ordered)
7. etc..

Then certainly return it..

I have upgraded from 7+ to 8+ and yes, it’s very familiar but that’s part of why I chose the 8 over the X.

Things I have noticed so far:
-The glass back makes the device so much nicer to hold, I find it feels far more grippier in the hand. I also like the extra weight and thickness.
-The display is improved, colours looks richer and the true tone display works really well
-The camera is really good, nice features with the portrait lighting and the addition of 4k 24/4k 30/4k 60 and also the 1080p 240 slow mo!
-the phone is fast, I’ve noticed it’s much snappier when doing simple things like switching tabs in safari and opening some apps
-The speakers are louder!

That’s just from the 5 hours I’ve had it out the box, looking forward to testing the camera further. It’s a nice upgrade, yeah it’s obviously very similar to the 7 but there’s plenty of new features and the spec bump is huge.

Seriously loving the glass in the hand feels great, I chose this over the X because, well.... the notch, no TouchID, weird aspect ration and a ridiculous price bump.
