Hello
I managed to replace the screen on my iPhone 7 this morning.
It wasn't too difficult, other than getting the old screen to release from the case in first place … lots of heat and a big suction cup finally managed to get it going.
Everything now back together and phone works fine … however :-
Please see photo of the 2 small rubber washers that are 'spare' … they fell out of somewhere while I was removing the old screen.
I looked all over but couldn't see anywhere where they were supposed to go.
I hope the were off the old screen and the new screen already had them fitted, so I won't need to remove the newly fitted screen.
They are rubber and approx. 2mm square and about 1.5mm thick.
Any guidance much appreciated.

Welcome to iMore and thanks for joining. Feel free to jump right in on the many threads. I've never had to replace any of my iPhone screens and not sure I would even attempt it...LOL. Maybe someone who has will chime in and provide the information you seek. Good Luck.

Welcome to iMore. I’ve never replaced a screen on any phone. Hopefully, someone will be along who can answer your question. Good luck.

I recommend you go to the iFixit website and view a rear down video of your iPhone. Maybe it’ll show you where the washers are suppose to go.
