My upgrade will most likely happen this fall. I will be eligible I think between 8/29 and 9/29. I am thinking of upgrading from the 7 to the 7 Plus at a minimum. Other options are the 8, 7s Plus, and 7s, but I'm thinking more about getting the 7 Plus. Any thoughts?

Just curious why the 7+? If you already have the i7? I7 is a great device and doesn't feel like a in your hand/pocket

Well you already have a great device. The advantages of going to the 7 Plus are the camera, speed and screen size. I would suggest waiting for the next iPhone generation before making a decision. In the meantime you have a great phone.

Don't forget the battery life!

Though I agree...definitely makes the best sense to wait. We don't have any solid evidence on what Apple will be releasing.

Thanks everyone for the advice. The benefits I see to the 7 Plus are the dual cameras, battery life, 1080p screen resolution, landscape view, and 3 GB of RAM. I will be getting the  Watch Nike+ 42mm Space Gray Case with Black Volt band in three days for my birthday. My early '15 13" MBPr 128 GB is still running strong with a few dents in the body due to me dropping it a few weeks ago. I got it in April 2015 so it should last me until 2019 or 2020.

From what I have read from the "leaks" the iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) will be out of my price range...rumors of $1000.

I'm going to upgrade to the 7s Plus from the 7 that I have now. But we'll see what the actual numbers are.

If the 7s has the same 750p resolution then I'll get a Plus model.

I'm thinking about the Product Red...if that is how it is presented...too early to tell... but I like the way that you are planning.

Keep in mind with having the i7 you'll lose out on the one hand use ease of use pocket ability. The regular 7 is as fast as the 7+ I have both zero differences. I'd definitely wait.

If the Product Red 7 and 7 Plus have a black screen and not white like on the Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver iPhones then I'd contemplate getting that color. I always plan ahead since I'm on AT&T Next Every Year.

I would not miss the one handed use. I use my 7 with both hands 99% of the time.

I had both just speaking from experience. The plus is a brick and just got in the way for me. But that's just my experience. Nice there are choices

I think the lineup for iPhones in the fall will be big. iPhone 8, iPhone 7s Plus, iPhone 7s, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, and iPhone SE.

Yeah I hope so. I can't do a 5.5 just too bulky and big. For me the sweet spot will be 5 inch. Hopefully it happens in the fall.

The 5 inch model will be over $1000. I wonder if the carriers will offer it on the installment plan or full retail price only.

I hope they don't go by too much bigger than the 5.5" plus, I wear carpenter pants just to put my phone in the leg pocket. Fits good. Had a problem with my note 3 before I got the 6 plus.

If I get a phablet this fall it will be an adjustment but not a big one.
