It should last you for a typical day or so. It actually depends on your usage

How much does the iPhone 7 battery approximately last?

Depends on usage. I have mine hooked to my apple watch (not heavy use during the day because of work). If you are on it all the time, it will not last that long. But it can make it through a day with moderate usage.

As many others have said, it all depends on usage. If you are a big gamer and love playing for 5 hours a day. Your battery life is going to suffer tremendously. But if you like me who just browses Facebook, twitter and use instant messaging it will last a fair bit longer. I always bank on 1 day of use for the 4.7" and 1.5 - 2 days use for the Plus model. :)

Re: How much does the iPhone 7 battery approximately last?

For me iPhone 7 is a phone for whole day use with comfortable margin. But I don't play games much - around 20-30 minutes of puzzle games + few rounds of online scrabble. I have two e-mail accounts with 15 minutes checking interval, essential apps like FB, WhatsApp, ... which consume some battery, take few photos ... At the end of the day I have around 30-40% battery left, so I have no problem to call a taxi or get a SMS ticket for a bus or a train when I'm coming late night home.
For a comparison, I had Lumia 950 and it was able to survive busy day till a midnight with difficulties. On the other hand, Lumia has quick charge so I could charge another 50% of battery within 20 minutes quick stay at home.

It depends on usage.... I use my iPhone 7 for just about everything all day almost! I don't have to charge during the day.. when I do I have a charger....I'll plug it in just for good measure.

I've had my iPhone 7 for about a week now and the battery life has been the most pleasant surprise. Most days I have 50% battery capacity remaining when I go sleep, on par with my previous phone (BlackBerry Passport and its massive battery).

was the OP asking how long the battery last in one day? or was he/she asking about how long the battery will last during the life of the iPhone 7? If fully charged from 15% to 100% once per day, that's more than 700 full charges over 2 years. Will the battery still be good after that?

Battery life per charge depends on what you do. Which apps you use, your settings, etc. A new iPhone should get 10 Plus hours on a charge, depending. My 6s Plus is 15 months old and gets about 7 hours usage. Sometimes less. The total life of the phone also depends on usage. With moderate to heavy use, it should go 2 years. Extreme heavy use may result in the battery wearing out in less than 2 years. Just depends.

I guess I fall into the extreme category... I use my phone a lot during the day and always need to recharge it fully at least once a day. If I have AppleCare+ and the battery wears out within the 2 years, will Apple replace the battery for free? :)

I think if the battery reaches a certain level, and the phone is warranty covered, then they will. Not sure with the 2 year Applecare+. The original lightning cable to my 6s Plus tore up in 5 months. Under my 1 year warranty, they sent me a new one. I think the battery must be at below 80% health. But that's for 1 year.

Depends on your usage. I have gotten 8 hours to 24 hours depending on what I'm doing. Playing games and such will be low but just texting and a bit of social media will last a longer time.

Wow, I'm surprised at how long people's batteries are lasting. I use mine really heavily, and I probably get 4.5-5 hours. I feel like I'm constantly needing to charge it. Granted, I have a long train commute, so I am using it non-stop during that (gaming, social media, email, etc).
