Issue with iPhone

Every now and then I'll be on my phone and the screen with go black and I'll get the little whiny spiny wheel and then it will take me to my lock screen to put in my code to unlock my phone.

Is anyone else having this problem? It only happens every now and then. I really don't want to take it back unless they give me a new one out the box which I'm sure they won't.

That's a springboard crash. It's software related, only thing we can tell you to do is:

Hard reset (power + vol down)
Reinstall your current version of iOS
Wait for a fix :c

I didn't do the 10.1.1 update yet. You think if I do that it will help?

Yep, especially if you set it up as new and not from a backup.
