Hello is the iPhone 7 vibration meant to be heard if it's on a hard surface ( I have the apple battery case ) and is it suppose to be felt in my pocket ?

The vibration does not wake me up at night.

The vibration is designed to alert you without alerting everyone else. It's possible that you'll hear it if your iPhone is sitting on a hard surface. Yes, it is supposed to be felt in your pocket, although I sometimes miss notifications from my pocket.
