I am thinking about buying a wallet case but I have a magnetic phone holder (metal plate in my current case) if I buy a wallet case can the magnet demagnetize my cards? Anyone have experience with this?

Exposure to a magnetic field can cause issues with magnetic stripes on cards.

Exposure to your phone can do the same thing. Most credit cards do OK these days, but hotel keycard suck- nearly always de-magnetize near phone.
