I traded in (sold) an iPhone 6 plus last week at an Apple store when I purchases a new iPhone. How long before the credit shows up on my credit card?

Well, if you traded in your iPhone, it's value (the credit) is applied to your purchase.

Not necessarily. I started iPhone Upgrade program, so fixed monthly payments for phone + AppleCare+.

I traded 6Plus for credit--applied to my credit card of choice. Essentially cash payment for old phone. So yes- OP could be waiting for exactly that: credit on credit card.

Yes
