iMessage apps get rid of them?

Asked: Oct 05 2017 | 9:52 am EDT 2149 Views 4 Answers View Best Answer

I find the selection of apps to use in iMessage is very annoying and I never use any of them. Is there a way to turn that off or hide them?

Yes, I poked around and found it, go to a message, with that list of apps up scroll to the very end and you will see three dots (more menu) click on it, THEN on Edit, you'll see toggles.

Thanks. That got rid of all of them except the AppStore and the bar. But at least it isn’t so visually distracting

You might give Apple feedback on that being visually distracting. I don't like it either. I'm on 10.1.1, but I saw it on my Wife's phone.

You can't get rid of the icon but if you tap the gray app store icon that shows up next to the camera icon where you enter text it will hide the app store bar until the next time you tap that icon to use something from the bar.
