Has anyone used any cases from UAG (Urban armor gear) ?

I have in the past, good cases except mine always would stretch out down around the lightening connector.

I had one on my 7 plus. liked it a lot. I also have had one on my Surface for a few years, and got one for my wife as well. Have not had any issues.

I tried a UAG case for my iPhone 7 and MacBook Air 13in and couldn't deal with them. That said for work I used a Surface Pro 3 and the UAG was outstanding. I'd never recommend for Apple products although I have some friends who swear by the phone cases.

They are nice but slippery on the sides. The plasma looks better with silver or gold iPhone. I'm using a white Slickwrap on my JB7+ and I think it looks unique.

I have one on my 7 Plus and my son has one on his 5S. I've used a lot of cases and UAG makes one of the best. They provide a great grip and protection. The fact that I also like the design is a bonus.

is the bottom protected ok in that case?

Yes. The most important areas for impact are the corners and that is the place with the most protection. The rest of the phone is protected though.

Originally, I did not like their rugged/masculine look. When they came out with the midnight monarch for the 7+ I really loved that it was matte black like my phone. I ended up picking one up and using it for a few months. Nice case, easy to hold and looks great. The aesthetics grew on me. After that I picked up a plasma in cobalt for my 7+. Also a nice case. They're very solid, would definitely recommend.

Exactly this. It's not for me, but I'm glad for those that do like the design. I kinda like this one because of the color scheme...
