My iPhone 7 Plus (jet black) is stained! Help?

Anyone know how this happened and how to fix maybe? A wet cloth does no help

Have you tried alcohol? JUST a small amount and lightly rubbed. HOWEVER it appears to be the "micro" abrasions that Apple warned people about at the time of purchase.

Does not look like that when no light is on it. Looks almost spotless with no light shining on.

Does not look like that when no light is on it. Looks almost spotless with no light shining on.

That's normal.

Alcohol will clean it better than water but shouldn't harm the device.

Both the blacks mark easy, i had similar spots on my JB not as many though, sold it and now my MB 1 month old has a few on the back, both were/are in Apple leather cases, no sand dirt etc.
A guy in a store working showed me his 7JB was really bad and always is in a case.

What case you using OP?

I agree with this... it's like wearing gloves on your hands in the middle of the Shara. When you take the glove off, your hand has little tiny red marks from your skin getting overheated

Is it stained because it just looks scratched. Rubbing alcohol will pull any dirt from the phone but plain old water should do the trick too.

That is with no direct light. Looks almost new.

I think that's the case for most jet black owners. Even Apple said at the beginning that jet black is very prone to micro-abrasions.

Was your case rubber, or rubberized? This looks similar to the marks that Spigen TPU cases sometimes leave, except this can be easily cleaned on other devices. Jet Black might be a different story as it is quite tacky by design.
