Restoring text messages from Android to iPhone

Hi all,

I purchased a new iPhone 7 Plus today and I backed up all of my text messages in a .xml format. Is there any way I can recover those texts on my iPhone?

I did a google search and couldn't find anything. I'm hoping one of you may know how.

Have you thought about the 'move to ios' app for Android? This transfers all of your data from Android to iOS inc texts.

I don't have the Android phone anymore; however, I do have the .xml file of all my text messages from my old Android phone...
