I still flip flop days with case and no case. Might try Peel or a skin next.
Skins are fun! I don't have a 7+ but I really like the skin on my SE.

Trying the Leather Case today for the first time. I have been naked since launch and my device is perfect. I have dropped it a few times and no issues at all.

Only trying the case because I want to see if I can go with a case again and Apple finally fixed the issues with the buttons on the old leather cases. HATED the old button bumps 😃

They were the worst. I can say that they have redeemed themselves in this aspect of the case.

Jet Black 7plus...I go back and forth between naked and an  leather case but it's naked most of the time. I've dropped it with and without the case & luckily I haven't had any dings or anything. I do have a small scratch on the screen that came from it rubbing the zipper on my jacket pocket*♀️
Grr... I've got a few on my screen from the "buttons" on my jeans pockets that you can only see in the right light. I think its the oleophobic coating and not the glass itself. Annoying...

Edit - and to answer the question, I typically use an Apple leather case but go caseless around my house. Haven't dropped it yet, and I hope I don't because there is a lot of tile and hardwood flooring in my house.

It is! I didn't I have these problems on the 6+ or 6S+, or maybe I didn't notice it. It doesn't really bother me, I just expected the oleophobic coating to hold up a bit better

Wonder why Apple would change that? You'd think the glass and oleophobic coating would be the same.

I was trying to go without a case because the phone is so amazingly thin, but I accidentally dropped it after dealing with my dog, so I immediately purchased a case from Amazon. Fortunately it was only minor scuffs and scratches, but definitely sticking with my case.

It's probably due to the fact that they used a different type of glass for the screen. The glass on the iPhone 7 may be stronger but more subject to scratches.

I keep mine Gold 7plus naked the majority of the time and have yet to drop it. I have two scratches on the white area and I couldn't figure out why or what from because I handled the phone carefully.

I hardly ever walk outside with it out (broke a previous phone like that), always set it down carefully, in a soft compartment of my purse. H/e I see others saying the coating on this model is a bit more prone to scratching. They are two minor ones that I can only see close up so no biggie.

The phone is so thin and the aluminum feels so nice in my hand that I'd rather not put in a case. I recently ordered this case for fashion only lol and for when i'm wearing jeans but leave my purse at home and don't want to worry about the dye transferring to the antenna bands.

It is more prone that the 6 Plus/6s Plus but it's no biggie for me either. I was just shocked they changed it. My 6s Plus is perfect.

I used mine for a few days without a case. Dropped it in the house and luckily it fell on carpet. Decided to put a Caudabe Veil XT on it since it is pretty low profile. Ended up dropping it outside and with that case and a Zagg glass screen protector still managed to completely shatter the screen. Been using a case since I got it replaced.

No case on my iPhone7+ Matt Black.

I like the way it looks to much to cover it up with a case plus it feels good in the hand.

Not dropped it either, I try to be careful.

I tried using my PRODUCT red without a case tonight and I just couldn't do it. I don't want to drop it and scratch it. I have a nice clear case where I can enjoy the color of the phone.

I don't generally use cases for very long. Somehow I woke up one day, and my screen was completely shattered. I don't know how or when it happened honestly. It was a Jet Black 7 Plus, and there were no dings or scratches anywhere on the aluminum. I still haven't figured out how I broke the screen.
