Help with messages going to wrong phone

My parents both have iPhones. I switched the Apple ID to be different. When someone sends mom a message, text, Facebook or anything it goes to my dads phone. I do I fix this??!

Disable FaceTime and iMessage on both iPhones. Restart the devices and log in with their respective Apple ID's on both iPhones.

Make sure you have don't have the same emails and phone numbers under Send & Receive in iMessages.
