I picked up my 7+ this weekend, would not have gone with the 7 for a couple of reasons. Since I have a 6S for work I've got a good understanding and used it to base my experience. The 7 screen is too small (for typing and browsing Web pages) and doesn't have the dual camera. Definitely the phone size is ideal for single handed use, and if the user has no issues with its size (like I do) than the 7 seems like a great choice. Im very happy with my 7+

I didn't even consider the 7 and went straight for the 7 Plus. This is my first large screen phone and I'm loving the extra screen real estate since all of my previous phones were the pocketable candy bar style. My older eyes are also thanking me for the larger screen too. I'm just two months into my 7 Plus and now when I pick up my son's 6 the screen seems too small. Happy camper with my 7 Plus

I originally wanted the standard 7 and thought the Plus was way too big, but I wanted the bigger battery and improved camera so I went with it. Now, I'm used to the size, and I don't think I would want a non-Plus iPhone anymore.

I sold my 7+ a few months back thinking I would like the regular 7 better being its easier to handle. Had it for a few months and just sold it and bought another 7+. The I7 is easier to pocket and 1 hand BUT the battery is just ok,screen is small and the camera isn't as good as the +. The added screen real estate, better battery life and the dual camera wins for me. Not knocking the regular 7 a bit just the + has a few features that makes it the premium device

Honestly the only time I wish I had the 7 is when I'm using a case like an otterbox or lifeproof. I like the size of the 7 with those cases better. On the 7 plus they make the phone huge.

When I decided to leave Samsung and Android I already knew it would be the 7+. I had been playing with it when it was released at the Verizon stores. I like the larger screens. I love this phone.

OP here. Funny that this thread got resurrected. I had a 7Plus at launch. Returned it after a few days. As of a month or two ago I sold my 7 and switched back to the 7 Plus and loving it.

Now my only reservation is I don't have the red one.....

I have gone back and forth between regular and plus 3-4 times in the last 3 years. The main disadvantage of the plus is that it doesn't easily slip into a shirt pocket when sitting down, driving, etc. I keep leaving it on tables, or trying to dig it out of pants pocket while sitting to driving!
The advantages in the 7 plus are the much larger higher res screen, more RAM, slightly better sound, better battery, more text visible on a "page", dual camera etc. Most importantly- I can read it better without reading glasses!
