Preorder Shipping Date

I wasn't lucky enough to snatch a 7 Plus with a delivery date of the 16th. I ordered a 128 GB one in black. The shipping says 2-3 weeks with a delivery date of October 4-10. Has anyone ever received their iPhone sooner than the estimated arrival date when they preordered? Is Apple pretty much always spot on when it comes to these estimated dates?

They usually under-promise delivery dates, so I wouldn't be surprised if you receive yours at least a week earlier.

I'm in the same boat as you and hopeful I'll get mine sooner as well. In the past when I've ordered phones they have usually shipped a bit sooner that was estimated.

Pretty much this every year. I highly doubt anyone who orders a 7 Plus today that shows a ship date of November won't get it until November. It's good for Apple to have a margin for error when it comes to the ship dates.

I just checked the Apple Store.. this is what I found (your mileage may vary) for what's available for 9/16 delivery if you order now. (AT&T)

Ordered a 256gb black around 9am est and have an Oct 4-10 delivery date.

I was ready to order at 2am pacific time but Sprint website completely crashed for more than an hour. I finally was able to order a 128 gig- Jet black 7+ with a 10/7 ship date. This will be the first year I don't receive my phone on release day. I will go into a sprint store on 9/16 and see if I can pick one up and cancel my order.
