You can pay off the device at the time of purchase and still receive the credit. Doing that with my wife's.

Not based on the conversation I had with them today. The day you pay off the phone or upgrade it to another phone before the 24 months are up, you forfeit the remaining bill credits. This was based on my conversation with 2 people from Verizon.

Exactly. This is why I purchased a cheap iPhone 5c for $89 and will trade that in for the $400 credit instead.

I am surprised more are not doing this. I have listed my mint 6s on eBay and hope to get around $400 or $450 for it

If you have a 6s then i wouldn't trade it in... A 6 for $650 or a 5/5c for $400 would be your best bet... Just depends on what will net you the most

I have an old 5 collecting dust at the house, can I trade that in or does the phone have to be active (have a 6 currently active on the line). $400 would be totally better than the maybe $100 I could sell it for...

I don't believe that it has to be active. Just try it online and see if it shows up at $400 trade in

Does anybody know if the trade in appraisal is available in store? Call me paranoid, but it makes me a bit nervous to mail an iPhone 6 in very good condition to somebody somewhere who may claim it is broken. Or even worse, they might claim they never received it.

I tried an iPhone 5 and it showed $45 all the way through to checkout so I bailed. I didn't bother to mess with it now but I will be looking into that here pretty quick

So I just successfully submitted my spring iPhone 5c for trade in. I logged into my acct and entered the device id and answered a few questions. From what I'm told you will only get the promo value AFTER you activate your new iPhone 7 of 7 +. It was quick and easy and my prepaid mailer should arrive in 5 business days :)

I'll go ahead and pass on that. They go for 545-760 on Swappa

The fine print specifically says it has to be the most recent phone used on your line. I'm not sure how they enforce this or if you can simply activate that 5C for a day and still get the credit. But I personally wouldn't risk it only for it to bite me in the ***.

No it does not. I traded in a Sprint iPhone 5c and got $400 value.

How in the world do you get $400 for an 8GB 5C and the site showed me $294 for a 64GB 6S Plus? Lol

On the Verizon website, you have to click on a specific link to get the $650 promo trade in value. Go through the steps to purchase a new iPhone 7. On the page that shows you the monthly price, look for a link that says 'trade in your old device' and click on it (You'll find the link under a large red box link that says 'next step'). A window will pop up asking you to log in to redeem promo value.

Hope this helps.

You have to purchase a 7 or 7 plus on the monthly installment plan and activate it before you can get the correct trade in value. You also have to login with your Verizon acct AFTER you new phone has been activated. It then should give you the correct trade in value. Keep in mind it can be ANY working device. All buttons must work with no water damage or any other issues.

Not true. Mine showed the promo during checkout and the trade in box with the correct value came before the phone.
