My 2 year old iPhone 6s has 88% battery life.

I’ve heard that after two years most iPhones should be at 80%.

    What is yours?

My 3 year old iPhone 6s was at 79%. Now has a new battery. ( it's like new! )

semi-OT: my iPhone 6s is updated to the latest version. (12.1.3)
Since iOS 11 the Apple's app have a high drain battery, especially App Store; simply by opening the app or downloading an app or an update. Is it happening to you too? I also tried with a hard reset!

I have a 6s where I replaced a cracked screen and did the battery at the same time. The battery was around 80%, but now I can't tell. Apple in their infinite wisdom won't show stats on a non Apple battery so now I have to go on gut feel, which says it is a lot better than the old battery. I actually needed a toolkit for the screen and the battery kit had the tools for the same price as the tools alone, which is the main reason why I switched it.

I don’t know how you guys do it. When mine hits 96% my battery life goes out the window. I just had mine replaced and it’s at 100% and running insanely batter.

I got this 6s Plus new in November. When I first got on iOS 13 Public Beta, it was at 98%. It's down to 93% now. The beta has been hard on this phone. I've been using it more while plugged in to compensate.

3 years after I replaced the battery (relayed to the issue they had in 2016), I’m retiring the phone with a 75% battery life.

Personally had since Sep 2018. Not sure how long previous user had it. Battery capacity/health is 87%.
Hasn't had a battery replacement (that I know of) so that may still be an option for me once it gets to 80% or below.

What model iPhone is it? At 87% battery life, it should go another year. My first 6s Plus was 3 years and 2 month's old when I took it for battery replacement. It was at 68% battery life. It worked ok most of the time. I had to charge it 3 times a day and it had occasional springboard crashes. There's nothing magical about 80%. That's just what Apple guarantees.

My 6s Plus only stayed with me for one year...LOL, but the iPhones (5s & 7 Plus) that I kept for two years the battery was still great, however I don't know the exact battery health percentage.

Thanks, this is my first iPhone, so thought the 80% was the magic number. It's the Global A1688 model, 32 GB. I know it hasn't been changed (or can they be changed more than once?) as the person said if/when needed I can replace it for about $50.

Global? Is it a 6s? You mean replace the battery for $50? You can at reputable repair shops. At Apple, it's $79.99 I think.

It’s $49 at the AppleStore. Apple had a discount for a year at $29 and then raised it to $49 after that. It’s not $79 anymore.

Yes, it's a 6s (Model A1688, said Global online, so I guess that just means factory unlocked?).

    Thanks!

The 6s and 6s Plus are still nice iPhones. A new battery, and you'll be good for a long time. However, the 6s may not get iOS 14 next year. But iOS 13 will carry you a long time.
